Introduction

The purpose of this wiki is to accumulate a collection of "Procedures" that can be re-used by anyone. In particular, we're looking to catalog processes and procedures that will be of relevance to OpenHive? - stuff related to political activities, volunteer management, Open Source project coordination, and the like. But feel free to add any procedures that will be of value to a wide number of people, but avoid things that would fit better as documentation in other projects (instead, contribute it to those projects!)

A "Procedure" is essentially just an abstracted todo list, often ordered in some fashion. It may include some brainstorm lists of options for various ways of doing some of the tasks. Procedures are extremely useful in defining how to achieve larger scale objectives. People can use them as templates for creating their own task list. Procedures can be very high or very low level; they can call out other procedures as sub-procedures, etc.

Initially, we hope that these procedures will prove useful to people who want to learn and share best practices for achieving a given objective. Later on, we hope to find or create some software that is able to use these procedures to do distributed task management for volunteer efforts. See the RoadMap for the plan for this effort.
